WSOP Update Horse Final Table Set
50K Final Table Set:Seat 1, perhaps the story of this year’s WSOP Ville Wahlbeck – 645000, haven’t heard of him? All he does is final table 10k or larger events this year. And he’s been considering retirement from poker since this tournament began.
Seat 2, an internet legend Erik (Erik123) Sagstrom – 3675000
Seat 3, not a former boy band member who sang MBop! John Hanson – 1700000
Seat 4, guy who’s finally running hot again and enjoys standing in oceans for prop bets Huck Seed – 1380000
Seat 5, perhaps the story of this year’s WSOP (okay, to explain, he’s already taken down the 40k special event now he’s trying to do the double with the 50k Horse) Vitaly Lunkin – 2490000
Seat 6, not much to say about this guy besides make a play on his last name and the more famous Bach (Catherine) but that’s too easy, David Bach – 2345000
Seat 7, Rounders goat, Erik Seidel – 965000
Seat 8, man who is most proud of living next door to Doyle Brunson, Chau Giang – 1075000s
Sad news for Gus Hansen who bubbled before the final table. It’s less sad considering the final table is not part of ESPN’s WSOP coverage this year. Sure they track stats for final tables, in some corners of the poker world, but they are mostly useless, for these guys it’s first or nothing. If it’s not televised, they are only upset about the lost cash rather than the “Final Table” cred.
Obviously, Seidel, Seed and maybe Giang are the more well known names but nobody is playing better than Lunkin and Wahlbeck. Each already has a bracelet this year.
Erik Sagstrom is more well known for his prowess on the virtual felt but like most really successful internet pros (Brock Parker this year with his two bracelets) the transition may not be smooth but their poker skills finally come through.
No word if Sagstrom played poker on a Mac or not. However, if he wanted to and couldn’t, he’d be glad to know that there options for him to play mac poker now.
